Welcome to our blog!! We are the Travelin' Dork Sisters, a group of stampers who all met through Split Coast Stampers (SCS) several years ago when some of us took part in a card swap. Since then we have been chatting up a storm, gained new friends and become a close knit group of Dorks.
This blog is our attempt to keep each other excited & encouraged about stamping. Each month we will be having two separate challenges hosted by a different Dork each time. We are giving ourselves a two week deadline to do the challenge in. And of course like all good stampers we love to show off our work and ooh and aah at each others things, so we will be posting what we create here for all the world to see. Anyone reading is welcome to join the challenges with us. We would love to see what you create as well. You can just add a link to your creation in a comment at the end of the post.
My name is Lois and I will be hosting our first challenge. I'm going to start it off easy! Since we are fast approaching May I have been thinking of some of the fun things we did as kids for May Day (May 1st). We used to take little basket and bouquets of flowers to all the elderly women in our neighborhood. Before we left we always decorated our hair with flowers and dressed up in fancy little dresses. Without fail we would end up having tea at one of the ladies houses. I often wondered if they took turns hosting us. They were so sweet & it was so much fun!
So Challenge #1: Make a card that represents May Day or something very springy. This card is due, of course, May 1st.
Have fun creating!!
